Kilmarnock Enterprises is a Business Enterprise that offers a constructive employment environment and meaningful work for people with Intellectual and other disabilities.
Goughs have worked with Kilmarnock for over 8 years building and recycling Oil laboratory kits and sample bottles. The Killmarnock team also recycle old and obsolete Cat technology.

This initiative is to recycle the 300+ Legacy Product Link Hardware units prior to seeing if CAT will bring a remanufacturing / recycle process in for these units, as the technology evolves and old units become obsolete. The original plan was to dump these units. Kilmarnock will now recycle these units using their new facility in Wigram.
The images below explore this process, and the focus on “Sustainability” as a preferred outcome rather than landfill or returning to CAT.
Start with this…

to be stripped down to this...

They also strip electrical harness and recycle the circuit boards.
This initiative build on the strong relationship and further benefits Gough Cat and Kilmarnock; We are not adding to the pollution stream and landfill, and Kilmarnock gives them the opportunity to generate revenue to help further drive their “Social Enterprise” market vision.
